frequently asked questions

What is the difference between EDC and System?

EDC is a ready-made tin that you buy and use as is. The content is fixed, designed as a complete unit, and has been proven over 10 years. System is a modular tube — you choose the size, the filling, and the lid. KPZ is the simpler choice, while System is more interesting for people who love to customize their gear.

Our flagship EDC kouskysveta. 40+ items, lightweight, and time-tested. If you later decide "I want to build it myself," that's what System is for. But starting with the classic EDC is never a mistake.

Yes, spare parts are available for all EDC kits. These parts can also be used to refill System containers. Additionally, individual System components can be purchased separately.

Yes. Tubes, lids, and individual filling modules can be purchased separately. You can fit a large tube with different contents anytime, swap the lid for one with a compass, or add a First Aid module. That’s why it’s called a System.

Both. First Aid 2.0 works as a standalone waterproof kit, but it is also modularly compatible with System tubes. How you use it is up to you.

Yes. 3D printing, laser engraving and cutting, manual assembly, and packaging. A small company based in the Czech Republic. Personalization (engraving, photos) usually takes 1–2 business days.

Technically yes, but we can never guarantee 100% trouble-free passage. It always depends on the specific airline and, more importantly, the individual security officer at the airport. For example, with the EDC kouskysveta, we’ve seen pliers get confiscated before, so we suggest to remove them before flight. If you want to minimize risk, the EDC Vážka and EDC Brouk are your best bets as they contain no "suspicious" tools. As for the System, it should generally be fine, though its unusual shape might trigger a manual bag check. The rule of thumb: if you want to be certain, put it in your checked luggage. Otherwise, always check your airline's latest guidelines, but remember — the final call is always made at the security gate.
